Agreeing to these terms
These terms govern your use of NorthFirn's website and public content. By using the site you agree to them, together with the Commercial relationships, Privacy, and Refunds and cancellations pages, which form part of these terms. If you have a signed proposal or service agreement with NorthFirn, that agreement controls the paid work it describes.
Using the site
By using this site, you agree to use it lawfully and avoid actions that disrupt the service, bypass security controls, scrape at a harmful rate, impersonate another person, or submit information you are not authorized to share.
Educational information
Reviews, guides, comparisons, readiness tools, and public explanations are general information. They do not replace an assessment of your environment or advice from a qualified legal, insurance, accounting, compliance, or security professional.
Products and facts change
Pricing, features, terms, security controls, availability, and vendor ownership can change after publication. Check time-sensitive details with the provider before a purchase, renewal, configuration change, or operational decision.
Affiliate links and commercial relationships
Some links and recommendations on this site are affiliate, referral, reseller, or sponsorship arrangements, which means NorthFirn may earn revenue when you act on them. Using an affiliate link never adds to your price, and free content never depends on a purchase. The Commercial relationships page explains how these arrangements work, where they are labeled, and what payment can and cannot influence.
Scheduling, calls, and meetings
When you book a call, consultation, or working session, you may use a third-party scheduling or video-meeting provider that operates under its own terms and privacy practices. A meeting is a general discussion; it does not create a service agreement, and any guidance becomes a commitment only in a written proposal or statement of work. Rescheduling, late-cancellation, and no-show terms are handled under the Refunds and cancellations page. NorthFirn will tell you before recording a session, and you should keep passwords, authentication codes, and protected records out of booking notes and meetings until a secure method is arranged.
Emails, downloads, and messages
Confirmations, replies about your inquiry, and downloads such as The Small Business AI Agent Playbook are service messages tied to your request. Any marketing email is separate, needs its own opt-in, and can be stopped at any time with the unsubscribe link. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and for the information you choose to submit.
Feedback and information you send
Send only information you are authorized to share. NorthFirn may use non-confidential feedback, suggestions, and questions to improve its content and services without obligation to you. Unsolicited material is not treated as confidential unless a signed agreement, such as a non-disclosure agreement, already covers it.
Third-party links and services
NorthFirn is not responsible for a third party's site, product, availability, security, pricing, or terms. A link or commercial relationship does not transfer control of that third party to NorthFirn.
Content and permitted use
NorthFirn's original text, graphics, branding, reports, and site design are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may link to public pages and quote short portions with attribution. Republishing substantial content, removing notices, or presenting NorthFirn material as your own requires permission.
Paid services
A proposal, statement of work, order, or service agreement controls paid work, including scope, fees, responsibilities, acceptance, changes, confidentiality, cancellation, and support. If those terms conflict with this page, the signed service terms control the engagement.
Results and responsibility
NorthFirn does not guarantee security, recovery from every incident, insurance coverage, compliance, savings, rankings, revenue, or uninterrupted third-party services. You remain responsible for business decisions and for maintaining systems after delivery.
Governing law and resolving disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Please raise a concern through the contact form first so it can be reviewed and, where possible, resolved directly. A signed service agreement may set its own governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution terms, which control the engagement it covers.
Changes to these terms
NorthFirn may update these terms as the site and services change. The review date shows when this page was last materially reviewed. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised terms.
